Backup Engineer – Commvault Contract

We are looking to speak to experienced Backup Engineers with extensive Commvault experience for a Dublin based contract. Contract is for an initial 6 month period with potential to extend.

Our client operates a converged infrastructure and the successful candidate will be responsible for all VMWare backups, on VxRail and vBlock for over 400 servers, covering all file and print servers. S/He will also be responsible for backing up all on prem databases, across Oracle and SQL Server. Strong Linux and Windows back up experience is also required as is experience restoring legacy systems where required. Commvault professional certification would be a distinct advantage.

The role sits in the BAU operational group and the successful candidate will be responsible for daily backup administration, all new requests, amending existing ones, decommissioning old backups, failure resolution in conjunction with other in-house teams and vendor teams as well as capacity planning.
